The CAP committee included architects, architectural historians, preservationists, and archivists who created an online genealogy of Chicago architects from the 19th through the 21st centuries.
The research built upon and updated the Chicago architects’ genealogy published in 1993 in the Art Institute of Chicago’s exhibition catalog Chicago Architecture and Design, 1923–1993: Reconfiguration of an American Metropolis.
Start-up support was provided by the Society of Architectural Historians, AIA Chicago, and The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.
