Travel Information

U.S. Visas

The U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consulate Affairs provides information on U.S. Visas and traveling to the United States.

IMPORTANT: If you will be traveling from visa-requiring countries, we encourage you to APPLY FOR A VISITOR VISA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE as there may be processing delays.

  1. Find out what visa type is appropriate for you using the U.S. Department of State's Visa Wizard.
  2. Check the estimated visa appointment wait time using the tool in the gray box on the U.S. Visas webpage.
Most citizens of participating countries may travel to the United States for short visits for temporary business without a visa through the Visa Waiver Program. Travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program requires ESTA approval.

Refund Policy

SAH cannot refund registration fees after April 2, 2023 due to an individual's inability to obtain a visa. Please file your paperwork as far in advance as possible in order to be eligible for a refund should you encounter issues obtaining a visa.

Please note: SAH staff members do not have the ability to intervene on your behalf with the Embassy or U.S. Consulate regarding visa issues.

Letter/Documentation

If you require a letter or documentation from SAH, please email Christopher Kirbabas at ckirbabas@sah.org as soon as possible.
