Teachers with a valid State of Illinois ID, participants in the Frank Lloyd Wright Reciprocal Sites program, and SAH members are admitted free of charge. Please call 312-573-1365 to request a reservation.

Location & Directions


Charnley-Persky House is located at 1365 N Astor Street in the Water Tower Arts District. 

Driving Directions 
From Downtown:  
Take Michigan Avenue north to the Inner Drive (Lake Shore Drive-Local). Keep left and proceed for 1/2 mile to Schiller Street. Turn left onto Schiller and proceed one block to Astor Street.

From North/West:  
Take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90E/I-94E) southeast to Exit 48B (North Avenue/IL-64/1600N). Exit, turn left and proceed east on North Avenue for two miles to Astor Street. Turn right onto Astor and continue two blocks south to Schiller Street.

Parking

Public parking is available on the street and in paid lots in the area. 

Public Transportation

Red Line subway (Howard-95th) - exit at Clark/Division. Walk two blocks north on Clark. Turn right on Schiller and proceed three blocks to Astor Street.

The 151 Sheridan, 22 Clark Street, and 36 Broadway buses all service the neighborhood.
